Monza 2008 Superbike World Championship
Great expectations for the 6th leg of the Superbike world championship 2008, which will take place in Monza on May 11, 2008. Monza is the sixth test of the season, following the races held in Doha, Phillip Island, Valencia and Assen.
This 2008 championship has started off as one of the most interesting and richly contested in recent years: With 28 permanent racing pilots promising scintillating action, and 15 racing rendezvous, including expert pilots such as Max Biagi, Shuhei Aoyama, Carlos Checa, Troy Bayliss e Troy Corser, among the veterans who will challenged by talented young up and coming pilots.
The race circuit at Monza, immersed in the extensive Parco di Villa Reale, is Italy's largest motor sports complex, and is one of the most renowned in the world. In addition to the Autodromo, the park, spreading over 700 hectares, houses a myriad of sports structures, an olympic sized swimming pool, and the Golf Club Milano, with 27 holes.
The Autodromo is situated northeast of Milan, and can be easily accessed by car or train (from Milan: Porta Garibaldi train station).
